Risk Keys & Description

When publishing convective outlooks, we use a variety of risk levels including LOW, SLGHT, MDT, and HIGH, which may be issued depending on our confidence. Our forecasts provide a comprehensive understanding of the probability of convective weather specifically lightning within a 25 mile radius. Every Convective forecast is issued in the evening or morning, up to three days ahead, which may be useful for individuals, weather enthusiasts, storm chasers & businesses. However, if there is ever a time where a convective outlook or a discussion hasn't been issued/published, this may be down to forecaster availability, or technical issues.

Risk levels & chance of lightning within a 25 mile radius for each risk can be found bellow.
